📦 Circular Economy of Packaging

In March 2024, GALIA published its EMB20 Recommendation “PACKAGING MATERIAL RECOMMENDATIONS, Towards a Full Circular Economy,” accessible free of charge via the following link: Circular economy of packaging: Circular economy of packaging.

🎯 Its purpose is to collect best practices in the eco-design of packaging used in our industry.

⏳ In the meantime, the GALIA Circular Economy – Impacts on Automotive packaging Working Group (https://bit.ly/3UYGVQS) continued its work on new packaging issues, particularly in light of new legislations impacting packaging, such as the Packaging & Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) at the European level, or the implementation of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) for Professional Packaging at the Member State level…

🛠️ The Working Group has decided to review EMB20 Recommendation, based on its use and experience gained, with a view to publishing a new version. This is a collaborative effort where everyone can contribute to its improvement.
