This standard describes the specifications of the Global Transport Label (GTL) models that were developed between Odette, AIAG and JAMA-JAPIA, with the participation of GALIA.
This Odette standard describes the dimensions and the data areas of a label, which will be used by a supplier to provide information about transport/handling units and packaging units being shipped to a customer, according to the agreement between trading partners. This label standard does not supersede the OTL1 standard, nor the GTL standard.
This standard is complementary to ETI9 standard. It describes the dimensions and data areas of a new label with 210×40 dimensions, used particularly on C40 cardboards.
This document is an additional appendix to the English OTL3 recommendation to manage left/right parts.

Reproduction in French of the GTL standard (Global Transport Label – European Addendum) developed by Odette. The ETI8 uses 2D Datamatrix barcodes and offers different label format sizes.
This Odette Transport Label is intended to be used on all transport packages between two trading partners – supplier and buyer. It is expected that in most cases the label will be used in conjunction with advance shipping information i.e. the Despatch Advice (AVIEXP) message, which is transmitted between the parties electronically.
