📢 MMOG V7 “Stakeholder Review”

The MMOG/LE Version 7 project brought together colleagues from AIAG and Odette International to propose an improved catalogue of supply chain best practices. The working group has made significant progress, and we are nearing the end of the project with the stakeholder review phase.

🎯 This phase involves gathering feedback from experienced MMOG/LE users on the modifications proposed by the working group, with a view to final validation.

In line with the project framework, Version 7 builds upon Version 6 while introducing improvements. In our view, it represents an “evolution, not a revolution”.

Nevertheless, critical issues affecting the automotive supply chain have been taken into account; efforts have been made to improve the catalogue’s “readability” by making it more intuitive for users; and the classification methodology has been modified—for instance, by allowing up to two non-compliant F3 criteria while still achieving a B classification. Consequently, Version 7 will comprise 160 criteria for the Full Version (177 previously) and 93 criteria for the Basic Version (96 previously).

Full achievement of the project will require additional work, including: reviewing the stakeholder feedback; translating materials (potentially into 12 languages); updating the MMOG.np tool; collaborating with the certified MMOG/LE trainers; and communicating with the customer companies so they can update their requirements.

📅 Everything is scheduled to be ready by January 2027, enabling users to switch to this new version during 2027, in accordance with their customers’ requirements.
