♻️ Circular Economy of Packaging: GALIA Recommendation Version 2 is available

⚖️ New regulations, such as the European “Packaging & Packaging Waste Regulation,” require the ecosystem of packaging manufactures and their industrial users to comply with new environmental standards.

📦 In March 2024, GALIA published its EMB20 Recommendation, “PACKAGING MATERIAL RECOMMENDATIONS, Towards a Full Circular Economy”, which is freely accessible via the following link: click here.

🆕 Since then, the GALIA working group has introduced some additions in a new version (V2R0). This recommendation aims to help designers and users of automotive packaging implement good eco-design practices, which contribute to improving the recycling of materials used and minimizing residual waste at the end of the packaging’s life.

🆓 GALIA and its members demonstrate their commitment by providing this recommendation free of charge, including non-members of our association: please feel free to share it to improve your packaging specifications.

Work on regulatory issues continues within GALIA and the Odette International community, with deadlines approaching regarding Extended Producer Responsibility and Declarations of Conformity for packaging to various regulations. This ongoing work may help you meet your future obligations.
