Publication of the “Plastic pallets” EMB16 GALIA Recommendation

Although widely used in automotive logistics flows, plastic pallets have never been the subject of a formalised standard. The GALIA Packaging User Group mandated a working group made up of users and plastic pallet manufacturers in order to reconstruct best practices.

It was not a question of defining a new GALIA standard pallet, taking into account the assets that already circulate in the flows, but of collecting the specifications required to make the logistics flows sustainable. As a result, the new EMB16 Recommendation is a guide to help users and designers of these pallets, which can be used as opportunities arise.
